Peter attempting to take the place of the Superior General for one day. He soon had enough of it, and was glad to go back to his regular job as porter at the Gate of Heaven. Father Lithard's expressions and manner of speaking were very faithfully reproduced, to the great enjoyment of all present.
Finally, on June 3, a pontifical Mass was celebrated at the Mother House, ending with a procession in the court- yard. In the morning, the students from the Colonial Seminary offered their respects to the Superior General, as successor to all the long line of superiors of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost.
