When our Lord had healed ten lepers, and knew that his work had told for them all, he could ask with sadness, as he saw how little readiness there was to render him deserved praise, "Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?" Shall the disciple be less sensitive to ex- pressions of gratitude than was his Lord?
