The King interrupted him- self several times in this formality, to assert that the resolutions which he wished to have sanctioned did not exceed the limits which the Charter put into his power, and that he was firmly resolved again to enter into the letter of the constitutional compact, as soon as the effervescence of the public mind had calmed down.
