Results The response of four emulsions to cooling was tested: Kodak Tri-X Pan, Kodak Contrast Process Pan, Kodak 103a-0 (1E2) , and Kodak Illa-J (1G1) . The results are summarized in Table 3. Figure 20 shows speed gains obtained by cooling Tri-X Pan and Contras...t Process Pan, both in a 4" x 5" format.
The characteristic curves and speeds for the cold emulsion work were determined in the same manner as those for the nitrogen baking experiments. In Figure 20 the speeds have been normalized to exposures made at room temperature.
