Within an hour, the rowdy crowd was pushing her and Rhys into the solar, laughing, making lewd suggestions, and barring the door from the outside.
As soon as the door was barred, Rhys barred it from the inside as well, and Elinor stripped the bed, replacing the clean sheet with the one they’d used the night before which she’d hidden in her storage chest.
