And this is Appledore, the largest of the Isles of Shoals, with its mile or more of rocks, chasms and cliffs, adorned with short abundant herbage, with its pleasant house for the entertainment of those at tracted thither, with its grassy slope to the wharf, where a fleet of small boats are in waiting to convey one, at will, to the adjacent islands, or whithersoevr you would go.
