I DESIRE to preface what I shall have to say with the unqualified as- sertion that the final cure for all forms of evil both gross and refined io the Scriptural one, " En Kurio, " individual regeneration (not merely reformation) by the power and opera- tion of the Holy Spirit through the God-ordained means of grace, and thus the establishment of the king- dom of God on earth. This is the ultimate and loftiest ideal after which we must all ceaselessly strive. But I feel ready to claim that much can be done in certain directions to accelerate this glorious end.
