Morrison "was called to the Chair pro tern. The Committee resumed the consideration of the Bill [No. 65] to incorpo- rate the Buffalo and Lake Huron Railway Company, and for other purposes. The Petition of Peter Gibbons and others, creditors of the Buffalo, Brant- ford and Goderich Railway Company, praying that no power may be granted to the said Company to transfer, by sale or otherwise, the said line of Railway, until their claims against the said Company are adjusted and satisfied, was read.... Mr. Gf-alt having been appointed by the House a Member of the Committee, took his seat. Mr. GraU stated that not having an opportunity of hearing the arguments of Counsel in relation to the Bill to incorporate the Buffalo and Lake Huron Railway Company at the former meetings, he was desirous of withdrawing until after the final action of the Committee upon the Bill. He accordingly withdrew, by permission of the Committee. Mr. Morrison moved that the sense of the Committee be taken on the ques- tion whether a clause should be inserted in the Bill to the effect that Com- missioners be appointed to assist in winding up the affairs of the Buffalo, Brant- ford and Goderich Railway Company.
