C, the road has not been ballasted, as recommended in previous report, but we find that all of the fifty pound rail has been replaced with sixty pound relay steel rail, cross ties have been put in track and ditching done which brings this part of the line up to a better standard than last year.
We find the entire roadbed from Charlotte, N. C, to Goldsboro, N. C. has been maintained and kept in good con- dition, cross ties are good and renewals have been kept u...p to the necessary standard between the above terminals.
For the fiscal year ending September 30th. 1906. the following more imoortant betterments have been made: 16 PROCEEDINGS OF STOCKHOLDERS CHARLOTTE-SPENCER.
Rail None laid.
B alia St 16,064 cubic yards of crushed stone put in between mile posts 337. 1 and .334.
