Dr. C. W. Andrews made a brief report on behalf of the Committee on a Union List of Serials. He stated that to the Commit-... tee's regret no marked progress had been made, that plans for cooperation with the Library of Congress had again failed, as that library was not in a position to under- take a general list, as such a list would reach 100, 000 titles and would take a long time in preparation. The Committee had discussed the possibility of Issuing the work in sections and had hoped to report at this time to that effect. They had also Interviewed the officials of the Smithsonian Institution in the hope of securing their aid, but the Institution regretted they could not assist, owing to other work in Iiand.
