The maps, sixty-four in number, were re-engraved by Girolamo Porro on a somewhat smaller scale than those in the Italian and Latin editions of Rus- celli and Moletius, 1561-1574. Magini's second edition, also in 4to, appeared at Cologne in 1597 with the same sixty-four maps. Some copies of this edition have a colo- phon Armhemii apud loannem tansonium BipUopolam on the verso of the last leaf. Copies of both issues are in the Colledlion. A third edition of Magini's work in similar form was publi...shed at Cologne in 1608 with the same sixty-four maps, and in 1617a fourth edition was issued, this time with the imprint of Armhem, re-edited by Gaspar Ens, also with the same sixty-four maps.

Ptolemy's Geography 21 SDtto'0 maps tau in tbe meantime been used in an Italian translation, by Leonardo Cernoti, of Magini's work, issued in folio by the Brothers Galignani at Venice in 1597-8. A second edition of Cernoti's work, in which the same sixty- four maps were used for the sixth time was published by the Galignanis at Venice in 1621, also in folio.
