For to-night only. DAN. Say, the stuff you gave us sure got us in wrong. SCOTT. Stuff was all right. [He grins in. ] DAN. [grins. ] Sure. SCOTT. On my way. DAN. [settling back. ] Bad luck to you! [SCOTT goes to JACK S cell. JACK is huddled in a corner. When the light is flashed on him he does not move. The keeper turns the light into every corner of the cell. In the corner nearest JACK S feet he pauses for a moment to rest the light on the tin cup of water.
