The Spirit influences the mind by means of the Truth. As the " word of God is the sword of the Spirit, " so also is it the fuel of the holy fire He kindles. " Sanctify them by thy truth — thy word is truth. " The truth sanctifies by contact with the mind. We can- not, by an act of will produce any emotion ; (81) 82 QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT.
