cf 8 inchea diameter, mid a stroke uf 4 feet 6 inches, with a fly-whccl to regulate the action of the crank. At its first trial it drew aa many carriages as carried ten tons of bar-iron a distance of nine miles, travelling at the rate of fi^e miles per hour.
