It has made an impact on costs, and as the elderly population con- tinues to grow, it will make an impact into the future. How much oi an impact? Creative use of^ current sources of information for accountability and client analysis will help. No means testing will help. F'lexibility of funding between types of meals will help. Freeing up cost snaring will help. But adequate mnding is ...necessary. Per- haps into the future some new private sources of funding can be developed. But we must maintain and increase current commitments and carefully manage the changes to keep Meals On Wheels alive well into the 21st Century.
