§ 28. Whenever any instrument affecting land in said city, duly acknowledged or proved so as to entitle the same to be recorded and indorsed as by this act provided, shall be pre- sented to said register for record or filing, he shall imme- diately indorse thereon the date, hour and minute of its receipt by him, and shall immediately thereupon enter a note of the same in his journal as by this act provided, and shall, within three days thereafter, enter said instrument on the proper block index

§ 29. All instruments presented to said register for re- cording or filing under the provisions of this- act shall be legibly indorsed with the names of one or more of the re- spective parties thereto, the number of the land section and of 1C4 eefor:ms in land transfer.
