The patrons of Colonization and the citizens of Liberia desire that the most friendly relations should subsist between the two countries; that commerce should bring to both enriching treasures ! They want to send to us their camwood, their palm oil, their ivory, their gums, and their coffee and they want from us in return our tobacco, and our powder, and the thousand articles which teem from our manufactories.
