In your lifetime, if you do not smoke cigarettes, there is only a 17-percent chance you will ever touch marijuana but a 93 percent chance if you touch cigarettes.
Interestingly, adults do not have the same impression. But it ap- pears with kids that that is a gateway drug and we have to deal with that. Even those of us who disagree with Federal policy for adults, cigarettes and alcohol for kids are the direct gateway.
