To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
Every time an area is re-organized (Donofrio, 1970), but it also allows for the allocation of space based upon an expected population density at any point in time. More important than the cost savings, however, is the fact that people find it comfortable to work in. Those who have experienced it, prefer the non- territorial area over traditional forms of office arrangement. Furthermore, communi- cation and coordination with the experimental department has been increased sig- nificantly. And whi...le it is not yet reflected in the data, this cannot help but im- prove the department's performance over the long run. The non-territorial concept has now proven successful with product engineers and can be quite readily adapted to similar groups. It is most likely to succeed with groups who spend high proportions of their time outside of their office area. Groups who spend much of their time in other areas are accustomed to moving around on the job and are more likely to accept the loss of a permanent individual station.
