Report of The Adjutant General 111 7. All transport to and from field training, including airlift and motor convoy, was completed without incident.
8. All HF circuits were in well in advance of the target time of 1200 hours, 13 August 1961, with the exception of the team at McConnel AFB which came in at 0819 hours, 14 August 1961, due to problems encountered at the operating location.
9. HF communications were very satisfactory. The net which consisted of a net control and four trib stations wa...s operable 98% of the time.
Frequencies assigned were satisfactory. It should be noted, however, that the degree of operational performance of the net was attained with the aid of commercial power. The only mobile power units assigned for the AN/ GRC-26 units are PE-95's which are not capable of reliable continuous power. A need for heavier power supplies such as MB 5 units definitely exists.
10. A switchboard was installed and connected with the base switch- board. Installation of inter-squadron phone circuits was completed Sunday; however, it was Monday morning, 14 August 1961, before base personnel could complete necessary terminations with the base switchboard.
