Should the petition be granted, the first recommendation of the committee could not be approved : To the honorabl'e the Board of the University of Calif or ni ft : The undersigned, members of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Education, the societies for village improvement, and citizens generally of the Town of Berkeley, do respectfully request the attention of your honorable body to a matter of public interest, to wit: the improve- ment of Oxford Street, in the Town of Berkeley.
