That organiza- tion, in connection with Mr. Fifield of Minnesota, who pub- lishes a Law List, has been giving in the last year a very great deal of attention to what we call the "readjustment of values". Some people say it is the high cost of living, and some people say it is the increase of prices, but it is thought to be more euphonious to refer to it as the "readjustment of values", and with the increase of every item of expense with which the practicing lawyer comes in contact that organiza...- tion reached the conclusion it was proper that the sacred ten per cent should be replaced by fifteen per cent. That reso- lution was adopted at Saratc^ Springs by that organization in July, and the five thousand members of that organization throughout the United States are being asked to agree to it and to make it effective. It is being done rapidly. We ask that this Association put itself on record as reconmiending this schedule. It is rather a proud moment in my life when I was able successfully to oppose the theory that the schedule should be made binding upon its membership.
