139, G. A. R. He was married August 31, 1864, to Miss Catherine F. Lovett of Boston, and resides at No. 53 Walnut street. Frank W. Kaan was born in Medford, Mass. , September 11, 1861. He came to Som- erville in 1864, and attended the public schools, graduating with the class of 1878 of the Somer- ville High School. After spending a year in the Boston ofhce of the Warren steamship line, he entered Harvard College, from which he graduated in 1883. He taught school one year in Buflalo, N. Mr. Kaan is a member of the Somei-ville Central Club and the Boston Bar Association, and is secretary of the Home for Aged Women, Revere street, Boston. Mr. Kaan is a prominent Mason, having been one of the Masonic State Lecturers for three years.
