And Bishop Cosin and the Dean and Chapter, in 1665, agreed to make enquiries at the Rolls office, or the Towei', or any of the King's Courts, "within a twelvemonth after it hath pleased God to cease the present pestilence." And Dr Basire presently replied to the Chapter, as follows : " I took the paines to cause a search to be made in the rolls, but found nothing.
