He was Maj. -Gen. Of Militia and was elected Senator from the western district of New York ;n 1803..., and in 1804 was chosen by the Assembly as one of the '* Council of Appoint- ment. " They had fifteen children ; one pair of twins. He d. Dec. 25, 1820. She d. June 6, 1806.
