Puna is almost the same distance (about 26 miles) from Lohgarh in the north-west and Singh- garh in the south. Saswad was admirably situated for attacking Purandar (6 miles south of it), Singh- garh and Rajgarh (18 and 24 miles in the west), and 120 SHIVAJl.
