Ell’s slender legs, their beauty emphasized by her short skirt, had had his full attention when they buckled. Phil found himself running toward the van as its tires spun. It pulled out across the curb and wildly into traffic. Despite a valiant effort on Phil’s part the van quickly outdistanced him.
