The old misers, although they knew me perfectly well, had waited until they bad all my goods, sent by i66 SOMALILAND British boat before me, safe in their ' godown ' before they had sent my headman to Berbera to buy camels ; the result was, on our arrival he had bought but thirty-two, when we wanted a hundred.
