From Apuleius we know how the highest attri- butes of every known deity were predicated of Isis, so that it is no difficult matter to find points of resemblance between her and the Queen of Heaven. The differences between the two though far more striking and far more significant in view of the syncretism that went on in the cult of Isis are calmly ignored by the upholders of identity.
