But even more so, is the large blue wings inked on one shoulder, the tips peeking out beneath the short sleeve of his shirt. I slap him on the back as I approach. “Hey, Rowan.”
His head turns in my direction, and he smiles as he stands and we do that . . . one-armed, man-hug thing. “Drake,” he greets, “haven’t seen you in a couple of months, dude.”
I shrug and signal to the bartender for a beer. “Busy. Things have been pretty chill with the Ohtar and my dad asked me to pick up guard duty on a couple of my mom’s leath leanbh, while she’s too pregnant to work.”
