To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
A tall, blonde man is already seated there nursing a beer, ignoring the odd looks from the patrons being aimed his way. His pale skin (due to a need for an excess of vitamin D), white blonde hair and radiant eye color, in his case, an brilliant emerald green, all point to him being Fae. But even more so, is the large blue wings inked on one shoulder, the tips peeking out beneath the short sleeve of his shirt. Like all pure Fae, he was born with the mark, though the color and placement are unique... to each person. Mine is a rainbow of colors and spans the width of my back. I slap him on the back as I approach. “Hey, Rowan.” His head turns in my direction, and he smiles as he stands and we do that . . . one-armed, man-hug thing. “Drake,” he greets, “haven’t seen you in a couple of months, dude.” I shrug and signal to the bartender for a beer. “Busy. Things have been pretty chill with the Ohtar and my dad asked me to pick up guard duty on a couple of my mom’s leath leanbh, while she’s too pregnant to work.”
