P.M. — The ulcer had been adherent to under surface of left lobe of liver, and the perforation had apparently been due to the tearing of adhesions. The ulcer was i inch in diameter, and its peritoneal floor was absent. Exactly opposite it was a cicatrised ulcer on posterior surface of stomach. Intense general peritonitis.
