The first spccimcn to attract attention, one found at Norcia, was put together by Pasqui without reference to other monumental evidence."^ The bed from Orvieto which is published here (Plates XX-XXVI) was apparently restored de St. Germain jxissess folding stools of iron, and gold-room of the Louvre is a folding stool from there is another in private possession in England Ostia, of iron plated with silver.
