What reading level is Sunrise Land Rambles in Eastern England book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
There is a pleasant ring about Lynn. The name is quaint, suggestive of Devonshire, with a fine old Saxon flavour about it. To those who know it not nor its neighbourhood, Lynn possibly suggests, too, shady old quays, quaint alley-ways, fine river scenery, and much activity of a marine and picturesque kind. They dreamily associate it with bells : "O'er the shining sands, the wandering cattle homeward Follow each other at your call, Bells of Lynn, " and with Eugene Aram and his arrest ; and havin...g, too, a hazy notion of its antiquity and ancient history, it must necess- arily, they think, be a delightful place. Illusions, alas, are so difficult to retain, that it is best for all who think thus pleasantly of Lynn to keep as far from it as possible. With a nice turn for antiquarianism, one might perhaps find time hang less heavily on one's hands in this Norfolk town, for there are a couple of fine churches and a Guild- hall of extreme interest. But more than this is somehow THE TOWN OF LYNN.
