B. S. 3 34 SURREY Before we leave the Thames, it is worth noting that the height of the tide in the river at London Bridge varies from 13 feet at neap tides to 21 feet at spring tides. It will thus be seen that the speed or current of the flood-tide is much stronger and more rapid than that of the ebb-tide.
