3d. In obtaining the total air-dry food eaten, the silage was reduced to the same water content as the hay that was fed.
4th. For the sake of ready comparison, the figures under Lot III.
have been calculated for the full period of 100 days instead of 88 days, but at the same rate of growth and food consumption as for the 88 days actually fed.
