6) The Influenoe of adding an aocelerator plus a retarder to plaster of Paris has been investigated. By decreasing the oonoentration of the accelerator the retarder gradually assumes the predominant role. This retardation when plotted against the concentration of the ctooelerator in not a linear but a parabolic function.
7) By mixing equal parts of plaster of Paris and magnesi- um oxide and adding this mixture to a saturated solution of magnesium ohlorlde a compound is formed which upon setting... is harder than ordinary plaster of Paris, and in addition assumes an enamelled surface when poured upon a glass-plate and remov- ed when dry.
