The portrait of Pius IX., the present Pope, was painted by Sig- ner Anelli, an Italian Artist in New-York, from a miniature sent from Rome. To the politeness of that Artist we owe the privi- lege of a Daguerreotype from his valuable picture.
During the next year, other portraits and sketches of characters eminent in the politics of Europe will appear in the Review. The likenesses are designed to be in etching.
