Endeavour ENDEAVOUR ROCK was discovered in 1817, by Captain Ham- Rock mant, in the brig of this name, and is represented by him to lie " in a line between CRAGGY ISLAND and WRIGHT'S ROCK, about a third of the distance from the latter, or in lat. 39 38' S. , Ion. 147 35' E. When the south* end of KENT'S GROUP bore W.
* The north end must here be meant, or the bearings, which are magnetic, will not agree on the chart.
