No doubt, he roundly alTerts, that the flory told by Mark and Luke^ namely, that the women prepared fpices, and went to the fepulchre in order to anoint the body of Jefusy contradicts what is reported by Matthew^ or (hews, that the fepulchre was neither guarded nor fealcd.
