I remembered as if but yesterday with what intense interest we watched for the time when the bursting bur announced that the nut was ready for gathering, and with what eager in- dustry we devoted every leisure hour to collecting and storing our treasures in the dormitories.
I had not been among the hickory-trees since those schoolboy days, and determined to have, as soon as practicable, a nutting all to myself, in memoriam.
