To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
On becoming a mother, it appears to have been the earnest desire of her heart totrain up her children in the fear of God. She uniformly took them with her to the means of grace; while opportunities were frecj[uently embraced at home to impress some Scripture-trutlts upon their tender minds. On the removal of her family to Highbury, she united with this congregation, then worshipping in the Grove. The Church was formed in the year 1804, and she was^one of the first who came forward to enrol her ...name with some of her fellow-worship- pers, who had long desired to give a public testimony of their love to Jesus, the sinner's friend. From that period to the hour of her death, it was my privi- lege to be upon terms of tender and un- 50 broken ffiendship with her; and, if fourteen years of such friendship will enable any one to speak with confidence of another, I feel no hesitation in affirming, that I have every reason to believe, she walked humbly with her God. Of the constancy of her attendance upon the ordinances — of that spiritual sensibility which she dis- covered under the word, and especially at the Table of the Lord — of the sweet- ness of her disposition, and the correct- ness of her judgment, as displayed in the management of those institutions in which she took a part, and of her libe- rality in affording them support, many of you are witnesses.
