The following is another view of the same question. There is in man a sense of the Infinite and Absolute. It is against the former theory that we have to defend the knowableness of the Infinite and Eternal, and so to give the Divine, whether in nature or revela- tion, a hold on the human mind, and the obligations of religion a sure foundation in the soul of man as well as in the will of God.
