Some of them, as will be seen, soon returned to the United States, or else took passage for England, but not a few remained for the rest of their lives in the old Acadian province by the sea. The list as com- piled is as follows : Rev. John Agnew. Rev. Samuel Andrews. Rev. Oliver Arnold. Rev. Moses Badger. Rev. Jacob Bailey. 156 The Church in Nova Scotia, Rev. John Beardsley. Rev. George Bissett. Rev. Isaac Browne. Rev. Edward Brudeneil. Rev. Mather Byles. Rev. Henry Caner. Rev. Richard Samuel Clarke. Rev. William Clarke. Rev.
