At the head of the door is a represen- tation of the Father before and after the creation.
The door of the left hand portal is carved within and with- o...ut with subjects taken from the Parable_ of the Good Shepherd.
Within we see on one side the Good Shepherd defendirig his flock; on the other the hireling abandoning his sheep to theVolf.
On the outside on the medallion Christ is represented" as the Good Shepherd, standing in front of a sheepfold from which robbers are trying to steal the sheep. He addresses four men, of whom one is a pope, one a king, and one a theologian ; four figures, which it is difficult to identify, support this panel, and behind them stand representations of Winter, Spring, and Summer.
