The great ex- cess of expenditure over the amount of receipts does not, how- ever, constitute the only alarming feature presented in this inquiry ; for it will be found to be true, that the excess com- plained of not only exists in reference, as before shewn, to the disbursements from the treasury, and the sums received into it during the same year; but that the expenditures eff 9 1830, exceed those of 1829, the sum of 8 52, 583 42.
