" And so St. Paul bids them be tender to the heathen, as having once been what these still were, " shewing all meekness towards all men ; for we too were formerly without understanding, disobedient, erring, slaves to divers lusts and passions, passing our whole lives in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another 1 .
