Something caught hold of my throat and I thought I just couldn't say anything, but I did manage to say a few words. What they were, I could not tell you now. But all had tears in our eyes until Mr. McCormick, with his jolly good nature, began to joke and tease me and then we felt a little more natural.

I think we could have a new schoolhouse but, we have talked a good deal about consolida- tion and are waiting to see if that is decided on before we invest in a new schoolhouse.
They are just the best people in the world, I know. And the boys and girls well, I can't write about them to-night for already I am missing them so. It has been a won- derful year. It has helped and developed me in many ways and I have been so glad to have had the opportunity to try to re-direct a country school so that it would fit country life.
