The master of the house, Mr. Coburn, is a native of Lowell, in Massachusetts, and unites the modesty and unobtrusiveness, so uncommon in the hotel-keepers of this country, with the manners of a gentleman ; and with both, the careful attention to every wish or want of his guests, which is so rare among the majors, colonels, and generals, of the inn keeper class of America.
