However, if either one of you decides to lie..., I will unfortunately have to make an example out of one of you to make the other one talk.” They were both impeccably dressed in dark suits and sunglasses, but you could see the hardness in their eyes, not unlike what I saw in Chance’s when he first appeared in front of my car.
“I don’t know what you want and, Cecily, and I don’t know anything.” There was a trickle of blood on the corner of his mouth and the other guy, who didn’t look very comfortable with the situation, began to search the house.
