Nicki’s face turned about as red as her hair.
“Fine!” she snapped. “I am sick of being a maid to that diva dog, anyway. Whatever Lola wants—Lola gets!”
Chip barked after Nicki as she stormed off.
“Nicki said ‘diva’ like it was a bad thing,” Maya said with a shrug. She turned to Bess.
